Membership of the BCS Fortran Specialist Group is open to anyone having an interest in the Fortran language, its applications, and its evolution.

Membership of the Fortran Specialist Group brings several benefits, including:

  • a web based discussion area and e-mail list as part of the BCS Connect service for the use of members of the Specialist Group to discuss matters of common interest and to publicise matters concerning the Group,
  • the opportunity to provide input to, and receive feedback from, the BSI's Fortran Panel, which is responsible for determining UK policy in the area of Fortran standardization.

How to join the Fortran Specialist Group

Group activities are open to all and communication is handled though our low-volume mailing lists which keep members of the Group up-to-date with any group activities and other interesting Fortran-related developments.

If you are already a BCS member, login to MyBCS and visit our Fortran group page.

If you are not a current member of the BCS you can join the Group by sending a blank email to fortranmail-join@lists.bcs.org.uk.
